Most parcels are delivered by Australia Post, though we occasionally work with other couriers. The timing of your delivery will depend on the method you choose. For those who opt for Express post, you can expect your items to arrive the following day after shipping.

The default shipping method is Signature Required (SR), unless Authority to Leave (ATL) is selected at checkout. If no one is home with SR, parcels will be taken to your local Post Office. If ATL is selected, we are not responsible for replacement costs if the parcel goes missing.

I recently purchased the Nordic Modern Dog House for my dog, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality. The product arrived with a very poor paint job and rough finish – it is clear that little care was taken in its production. The kennel packaging indicates that it was made in China and the workmanship reflects this – cheap materials and a lack of attention to detail.The website description states that the kennel comes with “one sealer coat of acrylic water-based paint,” yet mine did not even arrive with this. Where some paint has been applied, it has been smeared carelessly across the windows, leaving the kennel looking unfinished and messy. Instead of receiving a ready-to-use product as advertised, I now have to repaint the entire kennel myself just to make it look presentable and safe for my dog. This is unacceptable given the premium price point. I will be requesting a full refund as the product does not meet the quality or finish expected. I have attached photos so others can see exactly what I received. I strongly suggest avoiding this kennel until Modern Pet addresses these quality control issues.

This is intended as a protective base coat only, and many customers choose to apply an additional coat in their preferred colour/finish to suit their home and ensure the kennel weathers well over time. That said, the paintwork should still be neat and tidy, and what you’ve described – including smears across the windows and a rough, unfinished surface – is absolutely not the standard we expect from our supplier. Came flat-packed, but not varnished or made for exterior use. It's a kennel. Expected the materials to be weatherproof at a minimum, especially at this price.

The Nordic Modern Dog House is suitable for outdoor use and is made from fir wood, which is naturally antifungal, lightweight, and durable in outdoor conditions. As noted on the product page. It comes with one coat of white-wash sealer to showcase the timber grain. Like all outdoor furniture, it does require maintenance to preserve its look and performance. To maintain the white-wash appearance, we recommend reapplying the same finish every 6–12 months. For a more long-term solution, a 3-coat system such as Dulux Weathershield can be applied for added protection. We appreciate your comments and hope this helps clarify!
We just bought a new house and thought the pups needed an upgrade as well. It's actually pretty hard to find a dog kennel that is modern and nice to look at, this one suits our new house perfectly. I gave it two coats with an exterior paint to give it some extra protection from the elements and am really pleased with how it turned out, only took an hour or two and definitely recommend this extra step after assembling it. Dogs now sleep in it and seem happy, and I think having a slightly enclosed interior will be good in winter when it gets a bit more chilly.
