Cat Litter Type

The Litter Robot has been designed to work with various types of clumping litter, not just premium clumping clay litters. The sifting screen is designed for clumping clay litters, as well as some alternative litters as long as they are clumping, and with suitable weight and size of particle. Wood and paper based litters are not suitable due to size of particles and lightweight for volume. A helpful guide is if the litter is sold by weight (kg) rather than volume (ltr) it is likely to be suitable for use in the Litter-Robot. As a large variety of clay clumping litters are suitable, you have purrsonal choice to suit your cats and your budget.

Warranty Policy

Modern Pets offers free domestic shipping on orders over $99 to most metro cities and major regional centres across Australia (excluding oversized items). Please enter your suburb/ postcode above to check the shipping cost (if applicable) and estimated delivery date. Orders are typically dispatched from our Melbourne distribution centre within 1–2 business days.

Most parcels are delivered by Australia Post, though we occasionally work with other couriers. The timing of your delivery will depend on the method you choose. For those who opt for Express post, you can expect your items to arrive the following day after shipping.

Estimated delivery times for Standard Shipping:

Metro Melbourne: 2–5 business days
Other cities and large towns in VIC: 3–6 business days
Metro Sydney: 3–7 business days

The default shipping method is Signature Required (SR), unless Authority to Leave (ATL) is selected at checkout. If no one is home with SR, parcels will be taken to your local Post Office. If ATL is selected, we are not responsible for replacement costs if the parcel goes missing.

This really has to be one of the best purchases I've made for our two adopted kittens. It works an absolute treat. The kittens started using their litter robot straight away and I was the lucky one, as they didn't require a transition period. We've been using the litter robot for a couple of months now and it is so convenient, as there's no more scooping litter 3-4 times a day. With two kittens (11 months old now) I tend to change the bag in the litter drawer every 5-6 days, which is so quick and easy. The kittens always have fresh litter now and there are no infamous smells. The app for the litter robot is straightforward to install and works well. The app tracks the usage of you litter robot over time, but cannot track the usage for individual cats(should this be something you're after). The app allows you to remotely set the cycle times of your litter robot or to activate a cycle and helps you keep visual tabs on the capacity of your litter drawer. The app will notify you when it's time to empty the litter drawer. It literally is a matter of changing the bag in the litter drawer (you can use any plastic shopping bag), adding cat litter to the globe and resetting the litter robot. I'm very pleased to have minimal input when it comes to the most unpleasant part of being a cat owner. So far the litter robot delivers!
